Setting up a fund

When you establish a fund through Nikau Foundation, you are ensuring that your generosity will impact the people and places you care about most, forever.

Whether you are passionate about helping youth fulfil their potential, ensuring that our natural flora and fauna are preserved for generations to come or fostering Wellington’s flourishing arts scene, Nikau Foundation allows you to create transformational change for our region, long-term.

We work with you to ensure your philanthropy goals are realised, connecting you with causes, projects and organisations that align with your interests.

"It is such a brilliant concept. Nikau Foundation’s model means that my gift can continue to provide education for generations to come – it means that people with a 'diffability' can always stoke the fire around their dreams.”

Alan Fielding, Nikau Foundation donor

Our Funds

The Margaret Neave Endowment Fund

Transferred to Nikau Foundation in 2020, the Margaret Neave Endowment Fund endeavours to carry on the legacy of its namesake; a well-respected doctor dedicated to supporting international aid. The fund is dedicated to support the relief of poverty, the advancement of education and other pressing needs within the community.

The Laurie Bushell Fund

For Nikau Foundation donor Adrienne Bushell, acknowledging her late husband Laurie meant setting up a fund to honour their mutual love for the arts. The Laurie Bushell Fund supports many areas of the arts, including theatre, speech and music.
