Opportunity and potential – these are what lie at the heart of The Kāpiti Community Enterprises Forever Fund. Since 2014, the Fund has been supporting people living with an intellectual disability or struggling with mental health issues to find meaningful employment or engage in further education so they can contribute to their community.

Dr Margaret Neave saved thousands of the world’s disadvantaged children in her long, unsung career from the 1960s to the late 80s. A passionate and energetic women, she would devote her life to ensuring young people across the pacific had access to vital medical care.  

Passionate about conservation and the arts, Peter chose to invest in Nikau Foundation to provide long-term support for the causes he cares about and take an active role in our grant-making – seeing first-hand the difference his generosity is having.  

Passionate and generous throughout her lifetime, Bice Tennyson, was moved to give back to the community where she lived, worked and raised her family. 

After a long and industrious career in business, Mike Olsen is turning his attention to supporting young people to succeed. 

Adrienne and Laurie Bushell were always deeply committed to making a difference on their doorstep. That’s why when Laurie died suddenly in 2002, Adrienne and her family chose to celebrate and honour him by establishing a fund in his name.

Porirua resident Chris Kirk-Burnnand has a head for business, a love for his community and a commitment to helping young people thrive. This year, Chris and wife Helen established a Nikau fund so their support for their community will continue long into the future.

Lucy and Angus Milne were just kids when their community-minded grandmother Barbara established a fund supporting local causes. Now, 16 years on, the Milne siblings are themselves involved with the Barbara Milne Fund, continuing her legacy of supporting local arts, environmental and conservation causes.
