Our Impact in 2021

Nikau Foundation was delighted to support many community organisations doing great mahi in our region in 2021.

Acknowledging the high rates of breast cancer diagnoses among Pacific women, Porirua-based initiative, Pinikilicious hosts educational events to encourage women to take charge of their health and arm them with vital information about their health and wellbeing.

Mutually addressing the issues of food waste and food insecurity, Kaibosh Food Rescue acts as a conduit between businesses willing to donate excess food and community organisations in need of extra support. Nikau was delighted to support Kaibosh, assisting with strategic operational growth.

In the face of the international climate emergency, educational organisation, Mountains to Sea Wellington (MTSW) is taking things local to address the human impacts on oceans, rivers and waterways. It is their mission to encourage children to be guardians for the environment.

Connecting the community through fitness and fun, Cycle Safe Porirua provides a safe, inclusive space for people to experience the many benefits of cycling. We were delighted to help Cycle Safe purchase an e-bike to reduce barriers to participation.
