Nikau Foundation 2025 Grants Assets + Resources

We are delighted to be supporting your organisation’s mahi.
A big THANK YOU for all you do to support our communities. We are delighted to provide the visual and written assets, as well as notes on your Nikau Foundation grant below.
Notes on your Nikau Foundation grant:
Please note your grant application number for reporting purposes can be found on your grants round outcome email from us. It starts with G0.
GST Treatment of Grants: A Nikau Foundation grant is regarded as an ‘unconditional gift’ for tax purposes. No contract exists between the Nikau Foundation and the grantee for tax purposes. No contract exists between the Nikau Foundation and the grantee for exchange of goods or services. Grantees should not issue invoices to Nikau Foundation for grants awarded.
Unspent funds should be returned to Nikau Foundation.
We understand that sometimes project scopes and timelines change. If your project changes for some reason or if you intend to spend your grant funds on something different to that which you included in your application, please let us know.
We generally expect that grant funds will be spent within four months of being paid. However, we understand that not all projects can be completed in this time and in some cases, such as if funding is being used to support operating expenses, this may not be possible.
We kindly request an evaluation highlighting the impact that your Nikau Foundation grant has had on your organisation and the communities you serve. This can be provided to us via our online evaluation form. To keep things as streamlined as possible, we unfortunately cannot accept evaluations submitted in any other format.
It is of utmost importance that the privacy of our donors is respected. For this reason, we kindly ask that any questions regarding your grant or evaluations are sent through to lindy@nikaufoundation.nz
